Prime rib was great, mashed potatoes were even better. They had a flavor that was so good but we couldn't quite pinpoint what it was. I love a place that has prime rib on the menu and not just a special. The calamari was tough as leather and we ended with a cup of breading so that was a bit disappointing. The wedge salad was a large portion. We could have shared. Anyplace that has a blue cheese stuffed olive dirty martini is a place to go in my book. We sat a the bar, the place was a bit slow as in no one else at the bar. Our server/the bartender kind of acted like we were a nuisance, not overly friendly. The restaurant is very nice, great location- close to downtown and many hotels.

First time having dinner at DNS and it was Fabulous! Service was impeccable and dry aged bison was probably the best steak I've ever had. Perfectly seasoned - not too much where it takes away from the meat. Enjoyed the cornbread, parpadelle, fall vegetables, and bananas foster bread pudding. Excellent wine list too!

Was served by the delightful Tess. Cocktails served were superb! Ordered the Ribeye and Kansas City Strip and both were perfectly prepared and seasoned properly. The warm spinach salad was also outstanding. Ambiance was modern chic-will be back again!

Great service. An amazing selection aged steaks and a top shelf wine list. Sides are a southern riff on most. The "mashed potato's" that the server laughing said has 3lbs of butter... well.... not a joke! One bite was great. 2 was overkill. Steak was fine. Bison was fine. Not worthy of 5 stars but compared to other top end steak houses around the county very affordable. Ambiance is modern and relatively uninspired for a high end steak house.

I don't know why but I keep forgetting about this place, that's too bad because every time I visit I'm happily surprised with the outcome. The ambiance is typical steak house, you can get a glimpse of all the good meet hang drying, or sit by the window and do a little people watching. It's not the greatest steak house in Nashville, but I think you get a lot of bang for your bucks here. They are doing a great job hiring people here, there is a genuine warmth and welcoming atmosphere every time I have visited. This is a great spot for an intimate dinners too, it's not too big and the ambience is cozy and you can count on some good cocktails being shaken right here! Do not miss the cornbread in a skillet as a starter! Perfect to share.

We went for dinner on Thanksgiving. The place was very busy - good we had reservations. Staff was very nice and good at making sure we were happy. Inside was nice and dark, but not overly so. We were able to have a conversation with no issues, so it wasn't too loud. We tried the dried aged ribeye with roasted brussels sprouts and started the meal with the Wagyu. Everything was delicious. I'd definitely go back.

Came in and had steak only. Sat at the bar. It was cooked perfectly and the flavor was on point. The shrimp were massive and delicious too. I like the window where you can see the steak too

I cannot imagine a better spot for a luxurious meal. The multi-level restaurant is both impossibly elegant (with wine bottles and antique mirrors covering the walls) and whimsical (we were seated by floor-to-ceiling shimmering string lights.) Our waiter, Jared, was the perfect level of attentive. He knew the menu well & offered helpful recommendations. We ended up both ordering the bone-in-ribeye, per his suggestion, & it was divine. Everything I could want from a steak, and more. I was surprised by how much I liked our appetizer, the tuna tartare, which came with these crispy things I can only describe as "fancy pork rinds." The tuna was mild, lemony & perfectly salted. Deacon's New South is the perfect night out !

Came in with some colleagues and received such wonderful service from the gentleman who helped us- he recommended some items as well. The restaurant itself is beautiful and elegant with many steak meats on display. I ordered the 6 oz steak as the other ones were huge- it was cooked exactly how I asked and was delicious! We ordered the corn bread to start with that was warm with pepper jack inside and served with butter on the side. The sides were also very delicious, I was drooling over the carrots and the sauce they were served with. The smashes potatoes were also soo smooth and buttery!
